mEYE^® Gauge is unique as it’s designed with ECPs in mind. Most ECPs in primary practice simply do not have access to biometry nor do they yet have detailed training and knowledge on the relevance and significance of axial length for myopic children.

mEYE^® Gauge breaks down the barriers of axial length assessment without the expense of biometry. It provides an axial length estimation with a 95% prediction range and explains what that specifically means for each child. The tool uses our extensive normative reference database to show you how the estimated axial length compares to a normal axial length for a child of the same age and sex. mEYE^® Gauge provides you with an axial length estimation for that child now, and also provides their expected adult axial length value if they are not treated with a myopia management intervention.

The vision impairment index specifically calculates that child’s risk of vision impairment as an adult without myopia management and how that risk compares to an emmetrope. Consequently, the information provided serves the dual purpose of helping you determine the child’s individual risk profile, and assisting you to begin to use axial length as a clinical tool for myopia management, something most ECPs are not yet familiar with.
