mEYE® Guide

mEYE® Guide

mEYE® Guide is unique as it’s designed with the parent in mind and streamlines the initial myopia management conversation. The application creates a personalised report for the child and provides all information necessary to get the parent to say ‘yes’ to your desired treatment plan. Alternative options have interfaces focused purely on charts and graphs and are thus not as parent-friendly as mEYE® Guide.

We know chair time can be limited but also needs to be balanced with providing parents the relevant information to make an informed decision. mEYE® Guide pulls together all the information in one report that parents can take home with them by simply scanning a QR code making for a shorter, simpler and more effective myopia management conversation.

mEYE® Gauge

mEYE® Gauge

mEYE® Gauge is unique as it’s designed with ECPs in mind. Most ECPs in primary practice simply do not have access to biometry nor do they yet have detailed training and knowledge on the relevance and significance of axial length for myopic children.

mEYE® Gauge breaks down the barriers of axial length assessment without the expense of biometry. It provides an axial length estimation with a 95% prediction range and explains what that specifically means for each child. The tool uses our extensive normative reference database to show you how the estimated axial length compares to a normal axial length for a child of the same age and sex. mEYE® Gauge provides you with an axial length estimation for that child now, and also provides their expected adult axial length value if they are not treated with a myopia management intervention.

The vision impairment index specifically calculates that child’s risk of vision impairment as an adult without myopia management and how that risk compares to an emmetrope. Consequently, the information provided serves the dual purpose of helping you determine the child’s individual risk profile, and assisting you to begin to use axial length as a clinical tool for myopia management, something most ECPs are not yet familiar with.

You can also get free access to mEYE® Gauge by signing up for a free trial of mEYE® Guide.

When you subscribe to the Ocumetra platform we will automatically give you free access to mEYE® Gauge. Yes, free! We understand that not everyone has access to expensive biometry equipment, yet axial length measurement is becoming more relevant for young myopic patients. Ocumetra are keen to support all ECPs with myopia management, regardless of whether you have access to biometry or not. If you are not yet ready for biometry, Ocumetra is here to support you in understanding the value of biometry to your practice. Once you have a better understanding of this, the decision to purchase a biometer gets easier. You can get free access to mEYE® Gauge by signing up for a free trial of mEYE® Guide.

Ocumetra has compiled the world’s largest repository of myopia-related clinical data. Our data comes from a variety of sources, with our primary analyses supported by population representative data from around the world. We have rigorously tested the validity of our data. While the clinical pathway experienced by individual children can vary significantly, our representative data allows us to provide robust guidance on what is expected to happen in an individual child based on the typical patterns observed in children who have a similar demographic and clinical profile to the child you are currently examining. Our proprietary analytics allow us to adjust the results based on a variety of parameters including the child’s age, sex, ethnic background, location as well as their clinical status such as their refraction, keratometry, axial length etc. No other platform can offer this level of precision and relevance to the children you examine, no matter where you practice.

Yes, Ocumetra is fully compliant with both GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations.

Additionally, we are very proud of our ISO27001 certification, which is the international standard for information security management. Our continued certification demonstrates our commitment to upholding the highest standards of information security and privacy.
